What's the difference between a custom tune and off the shelf tune?

Having a customized tune allows you to control the results you'd like to see. Buying a tune “off the shelf” means you're limited to the tune tested on another vehicle, there is nothing wrong with this but it often leaves people wanting a little more. We work very hard to make sure customers get the power and driving characteristics they are looking in each of our custom tunes.
EVERY vehicle is a little different, and more importantly every driver has their own idea about how it should feel.
How does the custom tune process work?
Here are the basic steps on the process:

Once you place your order, we will ship your tuning hardware.

You use that hardware to pull the stock calibration (Tune) file and send it to back us.

We use that stock file to build a baseline tune tailored to the information you provided us during checkout (i.e. fuel type and tune goal).

You will record specific types of driving, while using HP tuners VCM Suite software to record the data.

You will send those logs to us, and adjustments are made.

Rinse and Repeat until the best tune for you and your vehicle is attained.
Obviously we are with you through every step if there are issues or questions that come up along the way.
