cp-e ΔCore™ Front mount Intercooler FMIC for 2020-2024 Ford Explorer ST 3.0L / Lincoln Aviator EcoBoost:
- 25.25″ x 15.88” x 2″ & 3” Core Size
- Low Turbulence End Tank Design
- Maximized Core Design
- Works with OEM Piping
- Cast in Place Brackets
- Substantially Lower & More Consistent Charge Temps compared to stock
- Bolt-in Design, No Vehicle Modification Needed
- Fully Cast End Tanks
- Lifetime Limited Warranty
The core design uses all available space in the stock valence and containes recesses for a perfect fit. Turbulence reduction fins work to distribute air evenly inside the core. The cp-e™ intercooler includes cast endtanks that are welded and pressure tested with the core, designed to virtually eliminate turbulance and therefore lag. The endtanks have been designed to direct the air properly into the core for the most even cooling, giving the vehicle the most consistent conditions going into the engine. With the cast in place brackets, the intercooler will mount in the stock location while matching up to the stock intercooler piping.
All cp-e™ Titan™ finished products feature a consistent matte finish over the entire product not only for aesthetics, but also to strengthen the metal and welds if present.
Note: cp-e™ cannot guarantee fitment with the use of any chargepipes other than stock or the cp-e chargepipe. Please consult with manufacturer regarding additional warranty and fitment concerns.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
After months of engineering and development, cp-e® is proud to release the ∆Core FMIC for the Ford Explorer ST. The stock intercooler does an excellent job for the everyday driver that doesn't want to modify their car. However, once you find that you want additional power, the intercooler is a must have modification.
We started off by determining the maximum size core that could fit without having to cut parts of the vehicle, while our ∆Core FMIC uses the bar and plate design to help ensure a high level of efficiency. The next step was to design the perfect endtanks, developing a design that not only encloses the monstrous core, but also requires no cutting, no drilling, and no permanent modification to the vehicle. With the cast in place brackets, the intercooler will mount in the stock location while matching up to the stock intercooler piping. Customers can now upgrade their piping when their power demands need it and modify in smaller increments.
As always, the cp-e® intercooler includes cast endtanks that are welded and pressure tested with the core. What truly distinguishes these endtanks is the innovative engineering that defines their unique shape and sophisticated internal design. Hours of design and computer flow diagrams have been put into the tanks' design to virtually eliminate turbulence within them. Many times, upgrading an intercooler causes increased turbo-lag, and an overall pressure loss. This is because of the large size of the core and the turbulence within the endtanks. By designing the endtanks to be smaller, and more efficient, we have found a way to minimize turbulence to keep the drivability of the car high, while still enlarging the intercooler drastically.
The internal design of the endtanks directs the air to bring the most optimal airflow as well as an even distribution throughout the core. In intercoolers, the back half of the core only does 25% of the cooling. The endtanks have been designed to direct the air properly into the core for the most even cooling, giving the vehicle the most consistent conditions going into the engine.
Fully Optimized Core Size
To build one of the most efficient intercooler designs possible, we set out to make the largest core available. To accomplish this, we have maximized every single square inch of usable space under the stock valence. This is evident in the core design with recesses for a perfect fit, yet the largest size physically possible without permanent modification to the vehicle.
Turbulence Reduction Fins
When creating an intercooler, the goal is to maximize both the size and usage of the core. Our turbulence reduction fins work to distribute air evenly inside the core. This keeps the core cooling at optimal efficiency and utilizes every inch of the core.
Fully Cast End Tanks
When durability and high horsepower are the main goals, nothing beats casting. Cut and weld sections just do not have anything close to the reliability of a cast piece. The problem is that casting is too expensive and out of reach for many manufacturers. With the ultimate product as our end goal, we only accept fully cast endtanks for all our intercoolers.

Product Function & Benefits
Optimized Performance:
Temperature regulation is crucial for power production and delivery. When engine or charge temperatures rise too high, your vehicle automatically limits power output to prevent damage. This applies to both stock and tuned vehicles.
Enhanced Efficiency:
Upgrading the stock intercooler helps maintain lower charge temperatures for extended periods. This means your engine can operate at peak efficiency for longer, minimizing power limitations due to high temperatures.
Tune-Related Impact & Tuner Recommendation
Recommended vs Required:
• Upgrading the intercooler is not required for tuning. However, it is strongly recommended to maximize gains.
• This modification will support maximum gains from tuning and any future modifications, like a cold air intake.
• Upgraded intercoolers do not require a tune.
• Adding one to a tuned vehicle does not require a tune update.
Explorer-Specific Information
1. High or excessive engine and charge temperatures are seen within ¼ mile of spirited driving on the stock intercooler. This is called heat soak.
2. When excessive temperatures are present, the engine automatically pulls power to prevent engine damage (this is called a ‘safety’). This happens with a stock or Custom Tune applied.
3. The benefits of tuning, and other mods, become null when heat soak sets in, and the safety is applied.
4. All of the available intercoolers provide adequate cooling for extended performance on stock and ZFG Tunes.
