How does it work?
As a car moves through the air, the air pressure directly in front of the bumper increases with the square of speed. The BIG MOUTH is strategically designed and positioned for maximum air pressure recovery. Basically, it feeds your current intake with higher pressure air. It is the same concept as driving below sea level where the air pressure is higher, except you are able to generate higher inlet pressures with a properly design ram duct such as the BIG MOUTH.
 
Data
Data represented in inages was collected over months of testing. All tests were performed with isolation of the singular variable (with and without the ram air) and with utmost consistency of the test conditions.

  • Why We Recommend This Product

    Increased Airflow:

    Intakes draw a larger volume of cool air from outside the engine bay compared to stock intakes. 

    Increased Air Flow:

    The turbocharger's ability to "boost" is dependent on airflow from the intake. With increased air flow, the turbocharger can compress more air into the engine (as long as the air is cool). This results in higher boost pressure, enhancing power output and overall engine performance. A steady and ample supply of air to the turbocharger also allows it to spool up faster and deliver boost more quickly.

    While some benefits of an upgraded intake can be observed on a stock tune, maximizing these benefits is achieved through custom tuning.

  • Vehicle Fitment

    Please Note: This product has been confirmed to fit 2025-2026 Explorer 3.0L. Other vehicle years/makes/models/trim levels have not been confirmed. Customer-provided feedback for other model/trims as follows:

    • Lincoln Aviator - Not a direct fit. This product requires additional hardware or fabrication for application on 2021 Lincoln Aviator.
