Improve the performance of your Bronco by replacing the small, inefficient stock intercooler to reduce heat and produce more top-end power. This intercooler is a direct fit replacement that features a core over 58% larger than the stock unit.
As the charts show in the images above, the CVF Performacne Intercooler saw Charge Air Temps. (IAT2) DECREASE -9 degrees compared to the OEM intercooler's +22 degree INCREASE during a 20 - 80 MPH run under similar conditions: the same stretch of road, the same vehicle, and in the same ambient temps. (the only change to the vehicle was the intercooler).
The CVF Performance Intercooler realized a whopping +31 degree improvement over the OEM intercooler in real-world street testing by an unbiased, third-party tester where it matters: on the street in day-to-day driving. Taking it one step further, the above chart shows that on the dyno the CVF Performance Intercooler alone yielded a +28HP and +45TQ gain on a 2.7L model. Note that this is WITHOUT a tune, which would help enhance the gains even further.

APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION
The active grille shutters (AGS) have to be removed for installation. There is no check engine light associated with removal of the AGS and they can be placed back on the vehicle if the intercooler is removed.

1. High or excessive engine and charge temperatures are seen within ¼ mile of spirited driving on the stock intercooler. This is called heat soak.
2. When excessive temperatures are present, the engine automatically pulls power to prevent engine damage (this is called a ‘safety’). This happens with a stock or Custom Tune applied.
3. The benefits of tuning, and other mods, become null when heat soak sets in, and the safety is applied.
4. All of the available intercoolers provide adequate cooling for extended performance on stock and ZFG Tunes.
