INITIAL TUNE

Platform Support

ZFGR Custom Tuning is available for all 2020-2024 3.0L Lincoln Aviator models including:

Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring (GT), Black Label. 

REMOTE TUNING

Our user-friendly, wireless, laptop-free tuning process takes advantage of HP Tuners' wireless technology, allowing us to offer remote tuning solutions. You can purchase a tuning device alongside your first tune, or use your existing HP Tuners device by adding credits.

EXPECTED GAINS

On an otherwise stock vehicle (no mods), we expect gains as follows:

Auto-Octane - to be determined
91+ Octane - up to 80 WHP (when running 93 octane)
93+ Octane - up to 100 WHP
e50 - up to 150 WHP
e85* ** - Varies

* E85 with stock fuel system: Tuning for e85 on the stock…

Gains will be dependent upon the fuel type you select. A ZFGR Custom Tune for 93 Octane with a performance goal will provide gains of up to 100 HP with no other modifications. An e50 tune will provide gains up to 170 HP.

Single-goal

STANDARD TUNES

Provides a traditional custom tune that calibrates the vehicle according to one tuning goal: Daily Driver, Performance, Race, or Tow.

Tuning goals for Standard Tunes are made at time of purchase.

Towing should only be done on the stock tune or with a Towing Tune (always in Tow Mode).

Drive Mode Specific

DMS TUNES

Provides a unique custom tune that individually calibrates each drive mode (Normal, Excite, Conserve, Slippery, Deep, and Tow). DMS is like having multiple Standard Tunes at once, and allows you to switch tunes by turning the dial.

Options for drive mode calibrations are: Stock, Daily Driver, Performance, or Race.

DMS mode/goal selections are made post-purchase.

A Towing Tune will be placed in Tow Mode for all DMS Tunes.

FUEL TYPES

Our tunes support one fuel type each. Fuel type options are as follows:

Auto-Octane: All Pump Gas (87-93, up to e30)

91 Octane: 91+ Octane (91-93, up to e30)

93 Octane: 93+ Octane (93 only, up to e30)

e50: 40-60% ethanol blend (no pump gas)

e85*: e85 (70-90% ethanol content)* **

* E85 with stock fuel system: Tuning for e85 on the stock fuel system will limit the maximum airflow to match the limit of the fuel system, thus limiting the overall power of the vehicle. The addition of bolt-on modification is not likely to increase power because the vehicle will still be limited airflow-wise (to match the limit of the fuel system). If you are looking to maximize the potential of your setup on the stock fuel system, please purchase an e50 tune.

** E85 with aftermarket fuel system: Requires proper capacity aftermarket fuel system to match the maximum airflow potential for your setup. If the fuel system is not properly sized, ethanol content may need to be reduced to match the maximum potential of your setup. Please contact sales@tunedbyzfgracing.com with additional questions or for recommendations.

If you would like to run more than one fuel type from above, you can purchase an additional tune or flash back to your stock tune.

TUNING GOALS

A "Tuning Goal" is the starting point for your tune. The Tuning Goal will provide our tuner with an idea of how to begin writing your tune, and will loosely guide the revisions and adjustments made throughout the tuning process. You can always request adjustments and are not "locked in" to your initial selection (s).

Standard Tunes support one Tuning Goal each, which is selected at time of purchase:

TOW - Slight HP increase, torque and gear management, intended for towing (towing should still be done in tow mode)
DAILY DRIVER - Moderate HP increase, refine/improve stock tune
PERFORMANCE - Large HP increase, enhance mods, faster and firmer shifts than Daily Driver or Stock, but not race-focused
RACE - Max HP increase, advanced mods, advanced torque management, fastest and firmest shifts

DMS Tunes support the selection of one Tuning Goal from above in each drive mode. Drive Mode / Tuning Goal selections are made post-purchase in your first TDN Request, with options for each as follows:

TOW - Automatically assigned to TOW MODE. There are no alternate Tuning Goals for tow mode, and a towing tune cannot be placed in another mode.
STOCK+ - The stock tune, This goal is an option for all drive modes.
DAILY DRIVER can be selected for: Normal Mode, Eco Mode (Conserve), Sport Mode (Excite), Slippery Mode, Snow/Sand Mode (Deep Conditions)
PERFORMANCE can be selected for: Normal Mode, Eco Mode (Conserve), Sport Mode (Excite), Slippery Mode, Snow/Sand Mode (Deep Conditions)
RACE can be selected for: Normal Mode, Sport Mode (Excite)

Please Note:

We cannot adjust hybrid-specific modes for applicable Aviators (Pure EV Mode and Preserve Mode will maintain stock tune, all other modes can be customized as outlined above).
Tow Mode is not a selectable drive mode for the Lincoln Aviator, but can still be seen and adjusted through tuning.
For all tunes with a goal of TOW, we recommend providing details about the size, weight, and type of trailer(s) you tow at time of purchase. Our tuner may request that you complete data logs with the trailer(s) attached at various points throughout the tuning process.
