Function of Pistons in the 10R80 Transmission:

Hydraulic Actuation: Pistons in the transmission are used to apply pressure to the clutch packs. They are hydraulically actuated, meaning they use fluid pressure to move and engage the clutches.

Clutch Engagement: When the transmission control module signals a gear change, the pistons move to engage or disengage the clutches, allowing for smooth gear shifts.

Sealing and Pressure Maintenance: The pistons also help maintain the necessary pressure within the transmission to ensure that the clutches engage properly and prevent fluid leaks.

Types of Pistons:

Molded Pistons: These are typically made from high-quality materials and are designed to fit precisely within the transmission. They ensure a tight seal and efficient operation.

Bonded Pistons: These pistons have a bonded rubber seal that helps maintain hydraulic pressure and prevent leaks.

Returns will only be accepted within 30 days of the customer receiving the product, and ONLY if a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) has been issued.

RMA must be requested via email to sales@tunedbyzfgracing.com
Returns must be brand new and in their original, unopened packaging.
A restocking fee of up 25% may applied to all items sold on this website or invoiced by ZFG RACING LLC. Restocking fees are TBD and agreed upon at time of RMA issue.
Special order items and electronics are not able to be accepted for return.
If a customer changes an address, or enters an incorrect address, when placing the order, the customer is responsible for any address change/correction fees billed by the carrier.

Order cancellations are subject to up a 5% cancelation fee.
